![]() Thank you so much to Lauren for not only providing me with an advanced copy of Redeemed, but the entire Dirty Air series, and also letting me send her constant F1 TikToks! The entire Dirty Air series is on Kindle Unlimited, but click the cover to read Redeemed now! I cannot recommend this entire series enough, but Santi is on the top of my podium for sure! The extended epilogue only made me crave for more of their future, but it was the perfect ending, seeing Noah, Liam, Jax and Santi all with their happily ever after’s ahead of them. Lauren has created such an incredible world, and I am going to be sad to see this group go, I need a next generation series ASAP. Noah’s character development is one of the best I’ve read, and I think when I go back to the start of this series for a re-read, I will see him in a different light. This entire series has been one rollercoaster, and when I look back at Throttled, I love how some characters have continued their growth long after the final page of their book is finished. She was fierce and stubborn, the light that makes anyone around her want to be better, and she was the perfect antidote to Santi’s darkness. ![]() Her unwavering support of Santi was beautiful, even though she hadn’t been brought up with love, she knew exactly how to give it. She found herself on the trip, but not in the way she expected, and in return found a family that welcomed her with open arms. Her personality was amazing, her endless optimism was refreshing, but her ambitious and courageous way of knowing that she was running a risk by travelling across the world to meet her father and doing it anyway. His growth throughout this book was beautiful, as although his initial goal was to hope that Chloe accepted him for him, by the end, he learnt to accept himself.Ĭhloe’s background meant she was untrusting but so desperate to be loved, and although she was wary of Santi in the beginning, because she knew he could ruin her, she quickly fell for him as he opened up to her. She proved to him life was worth living and that he could still achieve his dreams even after everything he’d been through, if he just put his mind to it, but she gave him a reason to fight and want to be better. His vulnerability nearly broke me, his whole world had been snatched out from underneath him, but Chloe pushed him in every way, especially when he didn’t want her to. ![]() He was so complex, so broken and so ready to accept that his life could never go back to the way it once was, but all it took was Chloe to show him that was not the case. Santiago was so unexpected, but in the best way. They balanced each other out so well, pushing each other in the right places, and being the strong and silent support when they needed to break. Santi fought to keep sides of himself hidden because he feared Chloe’s pity and judgement, but soon learnt that was never going to happen, because she loved him for him. Chloe didn’t know the old Santi, only the new, so she fell for his real self, and accepted him without comparing him to the before. Santi and Chloe were so well suited, they were each other’s support systems when they wouldn’t let anyone else in. ![]() But is one secret enough to destroy all they’ve built? Their relationship blossoms, both starting to let their guards down. They start off enemies, with an underlying attraction, until the opportunity presents itself and Santi lies to his sister Maya, that Chloe’s his girlfriend. But alongside her father, she meets Santiago, the grumpy and recluse man who lives next door alone in his mansion. But once she discovers her father has been in Italy all along, she jumps at the chance to travel and meet him. Chloe’s desperate for her own family, having been in and out of foster care and with an abusive mother and no father present. For three years he hides, from his family, friends and the media, until Chloe quite literally lands at his feet. His life is torn apart, and he’s left a shell of his once confident self. Santi is on the top of his game, a record breaking F1 Bandini driver, with his whole future ahead of him, until one moment changes everything. Throughout the Dirty Air series, Santi has always been a background character, and I thought going into Redeemed that Jax would remain on the top of the podium as my favourite F1 driver, but Santiago Alatorre overtook him at the last moment to win my heart. Her characters are real, their emotions come through the pages and you go through every step of their journey with them, through the heartache, the love, the forgiveness and the healing. “Loving you feels like I found a life raft in the middle of a raging ocean.”Įvery time I read Lauren’s books, I am in awe by her storytelling, because it seems like so much more than that.
